Warehouse Worker-Tulane University - Catering - Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect products, accurately label items, and report discrepancies.
• Organize and store incoming products in assigned locations using FIFO controls for perishables.
• Pick inventory to assemble orders, following SOPs for accuracy and production standards.
• Load, unload, and transport products and materials within the warehouse and to other locations.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts based on established schedules.
• Complete administrative duties including inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and other relevant business records.
• Clean work areas as assigned, including restrooms, break areas, loading docks, freight elevators, and freight platforms.
• Implement and adhere to all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures.
• Use required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Take appropriate measures to secure client and company assets.
• Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests regarding business-related activities and attend meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Some client locations may require a current valid driver's license.
• Full availability including weekends and holidays.
• This role involves AM shifts, subject to change.

Compensation

$16.00 per hour.
