About the role
Warehouse Worker position in Salt Lake City, UT. The Warehouse position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
- Computer literacy – Google Workspace
- Forklift operation experience, preferred
- No per diem available, local candidates only
Responsibilities
- Stores, removes, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles that cannot be handled by material handling devices
- Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color
- Moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery
- Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or stock items
- Records material items received or distributed
- May maintain inventory records
- Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
