Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound shipments safely and receive according to Amy’s Kitchen Receiving Procedures and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store product and accurately record storage locations for purposes of inventory control.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipping, transfer or usage by manufacturing (staging) ensuring that the exact item and quantity is pulled and shipped, transferred or staged.
  • Move products or materials from/into staging, storage or on to transportation efficiently, safely and with minimum damage.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory accuracy, control and security are maintained.
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts when required.
  • Inspect PIT before usage, keep equipment, tools and company property neat and clean. Change and charge PIT batteries as needed.
  • Sort and wrap, pack, repack as needed. Sort and repair pallets when necessary.
  • Clean containers, trailers and truck bays as requested.
  • As assigned, provide customer service to Amy’s Employees with respect to maintaining onsite vending equipment for Amy’s Kitchen products, providing customer service for Amy’s employee orders, and the prompt and accurate receipt and delivery of all express mail/freight deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six months to one year related experience.

Skills

  • Must be able to speak and read English or Spanish.
  • Basic English verbal skills.
  • Bilingual written/verbal skills (English/Spanish preferred).
  • Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid motor vehicle license and certification as PIT driver.

  • Exposure to noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Exposure to forklifts horns working at same time moving and unloading product on the dock.
