Responsibilities
- Properly counts finished product cases from production.
- Packages finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
- Stages finished product for loading.
- Limits finished product onto truck.
- Unloads raw materials from truck.
- Receives inbound raw materials.
- Moves raw materials to warehouse storage.
- Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
- Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Completes daily logs.
- Communicates with operators from other shifts.
- Cleans and maintains work area.
- Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use.
- Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
- Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
- Demonstrates experience with loading trailers.
- Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
- Demonstrates safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
