About the role

Join our Staples World Class Supply Chain Team and deliver essential products to our customers. As a warehouse associate, you may work in one of the following six areas: Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Warehouse Porter, Warehouse Replenishment, Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Warehouse Returns, or Shipping.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by area, but may include operating material handling equipment, picking and moving product, general cleaning and maintenance, confirming accuracy of product, communicating with internal and external contacts, manually unloading trucks, and organizing and loading customer orders.

  • Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures
  • General cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures
  • Confirming accuracy of product and working with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues
  • Manually unloading trucks and palletizing products
  • Organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets
  • Loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations, adopt our safety procedures quickly, and ensure safe work practices. You must also be able to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand, and wear safety composite shoes.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications include a minimum of three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment, or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. You must also have basic English language skills, be able to pass a drug screen, and be at least 18 years old.

  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
  • Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
  • Must wear safety composite shoes
  • Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful

Pay

Competitive Pay Rate: $22.85/hour (includes $1.00/hour Shift Differential)

Schedule

12:30am-9:00pm Monday-Friday, with the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed.
