About the Role
A Warehouse Technician I performs order pulling, product receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling, inventory tracking, and other warehouse-related tasks in an industrial, semi-conductor, or distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy in order pulling, shipping, and receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Prepare freight bills and monitor accuracy of completion
- Coordinate with freight carriers and delivery services to ensure fast, safe, and economical on-time delivery
- Ensure orders are shipped to the correct customer location, minimizing spill rates
- Monitor bin locations, shelf life, FIFO, inventory counting, and cycle counts
- Maintain valid certification for forklift operations
- Maintain valid certification for DOT/HazMat (49 CFR 172.704) and IATA, if applicable
- Follow all federal and state compliance requirements for shipping and receiving products
- Assist with ISO quality assurance
- Perform preventive maintenance and report warehouse safety incidents
- Facilitate two-way communication with coworkers and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction
- Wear appropriate safety gear while on duty
- Monitor warehouse safety and control personnel access to the warehouse area
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of warehousing experience in an industrial, semi-conductor, or distribution industry
- Experience with warehouse management systems (TWL experience with an RF gun preferred)
- 2+ years of inventory processing, cycle counting, and reconciliation
- HazMat Certified or willing to complete training within 90 days of hire
- May require a valid driver’s license with periodic DMV checks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to workplace changes and work under urgency
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual with good attendance
- Knowledge of “two-tier” reporting, if applicable
- Computer literate in MS Word and Outlook; working knowledge of shipping and receiving software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
