Responsibilities
- Receive shipments: Unpack, tag, and place equipment/supplies in inventory.
- Match packing slips to original purchase orders and indicate the received date on each line of the purchase order.
- Check the quantity and condition of materials received. Return defective shipments and communicate with Accounts Payable/Purchasing for appropriate credit.
- Forward packing lists, bill of lading, and purchase orders to Accounts Payable for vendor payment.
- Notify Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) immediately via purchase orders when sales orders arrive.
- Stock shelves, maintain inventory, and perform weekly and daily cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Rotate perishable goods to ensure proper stock rotation.
- Process orders for shipment and delivery.
- Conduct repairs, cleaning, and complex assembly of manual and power wheelchairs as needed.
- Possess good troubleshooting and repair skills, including mechanical inclination and electrical troubleshooting or experience in PWC repair.
- Absorb and assist with deliveries as needed.
- Stage equipment for delivery personnel to ensure adherence to scheduled routes.
- Assist delivery staff in selecting and loading proper equipment and supplies.
- Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles upon request.
- Properly assemble and s new and rental equipment before delivery, as required.
- Perform or assist in deliveries and pickups, demonstrating proper operation of equipment when necessary.
- Maintain awareness of safety considerations in the warehouse, including forklift operation, movement of heavy equipment, and lifting and carrying.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in a neat condition. Empty trash, clean bathrooms, and ensure proper disposal of trash.
- Clean and stock the showroom, ensuring all items have price tags.
- Perform basic building maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Clear sidewalks and entrances of snow during winter.
- Follow privacy protocols regarding work orders and shipping.
- Adhere to all HIPAA, HQAA, and compliance rules and regulations.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Attend educational workshops as needed or assigned.
- Complete HIPAA and other compliance training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate a forklift (training will be provided).
- Familiarity with HIPAA and compliance regulations is a plus.
