Warehouse Technician
Position Summary
The Warehouse Technician at Marmic Fire and Safety works closely with a team of professionals, including the Warehouse Manager, to ensure the efficient operation of receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes. This role requires maintaining inventory control, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and performing maintenance and repairs on fire extinguishers and systems according to NFPA-10 standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by implementing and enforcing operational and personnel policies in line with company policies and goals.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting or carrying heavy objects, in environments that may have restricted movement or air contamination.
- Ensure that repairs and maintenance on fire extinguishers and systems are conducted in compliance with NFPA-10 standards.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security protocols and procedures.
- Control inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies with data storage systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to report, monitor, and assist in safety management, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting more than 50 lbs, and working in challenging positions such as on ladders, high lifts, and in confined spaces.
- Capable of obtaining consent to a background screening upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse management or a related field is a plus.
