About the role
We are seeking an entry-level Warehouse Technician for a position in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience and some computer skills. This role involves managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, and coordinating materials, while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the facility’s loading dock, including receiving, unloading, and staging inbound materials.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by checking purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
- Accurately record receipt information within warehouse management or ticketing systems.
- Operate electric and non-electric pallet jacks to move materials.
- Assemble carts and unbox displays, hardware, and printers.
- Stock the data center with imaging devices, peripherals, and other hardware.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, which includes handling trash removal.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure materials are delivered correctly.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the US
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Physical requirements include lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
- Availability to work normal business hours, with flexibility for different shift assignments based on business needs.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Forklift experience is preferred, though training can be provided.
