Hajoca Corporation is one of the country's largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Moore Supply Company is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate/Delivery Driver at their League City, TX location.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Teammate/Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. You will stock and maintain the warehouse, pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure. You will also load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely, and inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.

In the driver role, you will operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. You will load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered, secure the load properly, and ensure that the necessary equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available. You will review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy, unload correct merchandise from the truck, and obtain legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
  • As a non-CDL driver, you must:
    • Be at least 21 years old
    • Possess a proper and valid driver's license
    • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy
    • Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service and communication skills, be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center, and possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers, know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment, and be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
