Warehouse Team Member I

About the Role

Ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts), WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handle product per warehouse distributor standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Perform general warehousing duties (restocking shelves, housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Multi-task and quickly transition between functions/tasks
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Requirements

• High school graduate with strong basic math skills
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations, including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack, and stretch-wrap machine (preferably in a warehouse environment)
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and strong organizational skills
• Cooperative, team-oriented attitude

Work Environment

• Warehouse distributor environment subject to temperature extremes, dust, fumes, and battery acid
• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs
• Repetitive lifting and consistent walking
• Standing or walking for two-hour intervals
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
