Warehouse Team Leader- Focus on LTL/Shipping

About the role

The Warehouse Team Lead at JAS Forwarding USA, Inc. plays a crucial role in managing the warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of goods, and supporting the logistics department.

Responsibilities

• Acting in a team lead capacity over specific functions within the logistics operation.
• Training staff on specific responsibilities and tasks.
• Supporting various human resources tasks such as attendance and day-to-day performance.
• Communicating customer needs and updates effectively to the logistics department.
• Communicating potential temporary associate needs to Account Lead or Supervisor.
• Assisting with overseeing inventory of customer products and warehouse equipment and supplies.
• Assisting with overseeing the receiving, shipping, picking, packing, VAS, and other departments, as instructed.
• Completing day-to-day operations in the warehouse as needed, including receiving, shipping, picking, packing, VAS, and other departments.
• Adhering to and enforcing safety standards set by the company and OSHA.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in logistics warehouse environment.
• 1+ years’ experience leading teams and projects.
• High school diploma, GED, or education in logistics or supply chain.
• Forklift machinery certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires individuals to talk, hear, use hands, stand, walk, sit, and see. Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver packages between 20 and 70 lbs. This position involves heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
