Responsibilities
- Assist Warehouse Associates with work process questions and problems
- Recheck picking accuracy of Warehouse Associates
- Verify back-orders and adjust inventory as needed
- Respond to job queues
- Monitor truck loading to ensure accuracy of loading
- Auxiliary support to Supervisor with daily tasks and projects
- Perform defined warehouse activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock
- Pick and pack orders accurately and promptly
- Receive inventory accurately and promptly
- Restock inventory in designated storage areas
- Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures
- Safely operate additional warehouse equipment including stretch wrap machine, scale, and StarShip UPS shipping software
- Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
- Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas
- Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards
- Learn how to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, crane, etc.
- Participate in safety initiatives as assigned
- Attend meetings and training sessions
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years prior warehouse experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools/machines/vehicles
- Basic math and reasoning skills
- Excellent work ethic, good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
- Ability to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects
- Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand/walk/lift, pull, and push during entire work shift
- Ability to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 steps
- Physical Environment: Exposure to temperature conditions prevalent at the time, noise level consistent with that of a distribution center
