Warehouse Team Lead- 1st shift

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment
• Aid in establishing work schedules
• Achieve efficient completion of assigned job duties through effective scheduling and assignment of tasks
• Maintain product locator and ensure First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices
• Support warehouse security efforts
• Assist with various warehouse maintenance tasks such as floor sweeping, equipment storage, etc.
• Promote a safe working environment
• Direct and coordinate the operations of work teams to meet objectives
• Complete necessary records and reports promptly and accurately
• Oversee physical inventory processes and conduct inspections of outbound shipments for quality control
• Communicate any shipment issues and damages to management
• Perform operational checks to ensure adherence to company procedures
• Accurately document results of outbound audits upon completion
• Communicate with management and associates on a regular basis
• Keep a log of quality control activities
• Drive and operate forklifts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the work of forklift drivers and other warehouse personnel
• Train employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
• Plan, assign, and direct the work of warehouse personnel
• Manage multiple priorities and organize tasks effectively
• Work collaboratively within a team environment
• Supervise and manage the work of others in a professional manner
• Utilize good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office operations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to interpret technical documents
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to supervise the work of others in a professional manner
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office operations)

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma
• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Possess or have the ability to become forklift certified
• Valid Driver’s License or equivalent
• Hazardous Material Handling Certification or Training preferred
