About the role
The Warehouse/Surplus Lead Lane 15 Contract position is a contract role lasting 250 days from July 1, 2027. The hourly rate is $27.10 - $30.45 depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Manages the surplus department and staff by overseeing the collection of surplus forms, maintaining records of pickups, and liaising with district personnel for surplus inquires.
- Conducts evaluations of surplus inventory for the audit, including the disposal and sale of surplus items, to ensure accurate historical documentation and the efficient functioning of warehouse operations.
- Cleans warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks (e.g. counting stock, reporting damage, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate receiving of stock and/or filling orders for transport.
- Maintains complex manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. loss, expenditures, calendars, requisitions, digitized documents, Surplus inventory records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
- Oversees the delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, brake check, pre-trip inspection, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation.
- Participates in physical inventories as assigned (e.g. presenting information regarding District supplies availability and delivery schedules).
- Prepares work orders (e.g. District wide requests, etc.) for the purpose of implementing departmental inventory requests.
- Provides necessary updating (e.g. SDS sheets; District catalog listings, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of accurate information related to Warehouse inventory.
- Researches discrepancies on orders and/or invoices (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries, etc.) for the purpose of correcting errors and returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors.
- Responds to inquiries of staff and vendors for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the invoices, billing, delivery status.
- Schedules delivery of inventory (e.g. route assignments, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient delivery of inventory to designated District sites.
- Supervises Warehouse operations when Supervisor is absent (e.g. vendor inquiries, departmental inquiries, staffing issues, delivery schedules, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of Warehouse operations.
- Supervises receipt of ordered inventory (e.g. unloading, counting items, assessing damage, assessing work order accuracy, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of bid verification, bid specifications, quantity and quality of orders.
- Transports a variety of items to school sites (e.g. records/files, supplies, equipment, materials, mail, etc.) for the purpose of receiving, scheduling, routing and delivering materials as required.
Qualifications
- Age 16+
- High school diploma or equivalent.
