About the role
The Night Warehouse Supervisor assists the Night Warehouse Manager in managing night warehouse personnel to ensure all activities are performed effectively and efficiently. Key responsibilities include training personnel, planning schedules, monitoring tasks, enforcing safety, and conducting performance appraisals.
Responsibilities
- Train personnel in the performance of assigned duties to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and in a safe work environment
- Plan, organize, and direct scheduling to ensure logistics, workload, and daily goals are met as directed by the Operations Manager
- Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development
- Maintain and monitor warehouse personnel to ensure completion of replenishment tasks during each shift
- Manage personnel by ensuring adherence to all BEK human resource and administrative policies and procedures
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures
- Audit training needs of staff and provide or schedule instruction as appropriate
- Conduct performance appraisals on all direct reports
- Enforce safety principles to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all employees
- Attend all required safety meetings and training
- Offer suggestions and implement improvements to the work environment
- Complete managerial and administrative tasks to ensure the proper and timely completion of required documentation and compliance with BEK financial goals
- Maintain and encourage open communication amongst all employees and management personnel
- Perform other duties as required and directed by the Night Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 6 years of warehouse experience required with 2 years of supervisory experience desired
- Food service and/or manufacturing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of warehouse, logistics, and general OSHA guidelines as they pertain to warehouse safety is required
- Good computer skills with the ability to learn and use internal applications
- Must be able to work in all warehouse temperature zones (cold and hot)

- Must understand and enforce workers' safety rights regarding work processes and procedures
- Must be able to attend all required safety meetings and training
- Must be able to perform managerial and administrative tasks to ensure the proper and timely completion of required documentation and compliance with BEK financial goals
