Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide daily direction to the Inventory Control Specialists to ensure efficient flow of materials to production, timely and accurate transactions, and proper space management.
- Manage shift schedules and time-off requests to ensure full coverage at all times.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations.
- Conduct the cycle count process including, but not limited to, collecting, entering and analyzing daily inventory cycle count records.
- Investigate and identify inventory discrepancies and reconcile variances to perpetual records by performing recounts, root cause analysis for errors and assist with actions to resolve inventory transaction issues reports.
- Review processes; develop and implement process improvements.
- Review material transactions, report errors and take corrective action.
- Assist Demand Manager with projects related to the development of work instructions and process implementation designed to increase inventory accuracy.
- Pull and Destroy Coordination: dispose of obsolete inventory per industry and company standards to optimize storage and inventory space.
- Work closely with Vault Supervisor to develop and implement standard best practices for pulling to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Confer with other managers and/or supervisors to coordinate activities between departments.
- Ensure all employees complete mandatory monthly training as scheduled.
- Successfully complete required secure card verifications.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts through the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
