Responsibilities
- Track of inbound shipments.
- Control of inventory.
- Daily performance, onboarding, development, and cross-training of staff.
- Monitor and enhance key performance indicators for warehouse processes.
- Perform similar duties as your staff on an as-needed basis.
- Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork.
- Ensure complete OSHA and internal safety policy compliance.
- Continuous improvement of operational process and procedures.
- Maximize storage.
- Cycle counting and location audits.
- Control returns from delivery to put-away.
- Schedule and prioritize all inbound containers.
- Assure that correct items are on hand and stored properly for daily production requirements.
- Assist with other operational functions and projects as required.
- Responsible for all outbound activities from releasing orders to shipping and closing orders.
- Ensure all orders get picked and shipped out correctly each day.
- Monitor all outbound orders to ensure they process correctly and on time.
- Figure out and work through Oracle or Numina problems as needed.
- Integrate resources to be interchangeable regardless of process differences.
- Develop employees so they can both pick and put away product as needed.
- Maintain stock levels and order supplies as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Enforce and support all standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing.
- Excellent supervisory skills and the ability to coach and develop employees.
- Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred but not required.
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Process and procedure driven.
- Understanding of Lean and 5S methodologies.
- Strong understanding of warehouse strategies and best practices.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and the willingness to become certified in the areas necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Detail-oriented; precision and consistency is key to success in this role.
- Able to work effectively as a team as well as manage time and projects independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Bright, analytical, goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance.
