About the role

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will plan, develop, organize, and drive daily improvements in our outbound warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a consolidated production plan and long-range schedule incorporating sales projections, orders, priorities, and plant capacity.
  • Use computer-automated production planning, forecasting, and business simulation tools to develop integrated production and material requirement plans.
  • Maintain regular communications with departments to ensure the master schedule is up-to-date and reflects confirmed sales orders, demand, product introductions, and customer delivery requirements.
  • Initiate communications on employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, working conditions, and personal assistance.
  • Resolve team member issues and problems, facilitating solutions or escalating as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews for departmental team members.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate workflow between operating units, adjusting master schedules based on short-term needs and variations.
  • Develop and ensure appropriate training for assigned areas and team members.
  • Communicate company philosophies and policies, train and demonstrate work routines, and document performance.
  • Maintain records of daily activities including time, process steps, and important issues.
  • Ensure all safety processes and records are up-to-date and maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Ensure team members are trained and observe safety practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • Five years of hands-on experience in a warehouse setting, preferably in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Substantial additional experience may substitute for some formal education.
  • Seasoned specialized knowledge of service parts shipping and inventory management.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipping practices for multiple carriers.
  • Proficiency with computer-aided planning and simulation tools such as WMS.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to develop optimal and alternative solutions.
  • Advanced math and statistics skills to integrate times, quantities, performance data, and ratios.
  • Strong writing skills for professional correspondence and reports.
  • Human relations skills to facilitate small group presentations, convey schedules persuasively, resolve conflicts, and maintain harmony with internal and external customers.

Abilities

  • Ability to carry out all aspects of the position.
  • Ability to use advanced modeling tools to develop production flow needs.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data under significant time constraints.
  • Ability to read and understand all shipping rules and regulations.
  • Ability to use computer-aided production planning and forecasting tools.
  • Ability to plan and manage annual and monthly budgets.
  • Ability to instruct others.
  • Ambulatory ability to tour manufacturing facilities and sit for extended periods.
  • Sufficient hand-arm-eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and retrieve work materials.
  • Visual acuity to read words and numbers.
  • Auditory ability to project voice in small groups and carry on conversations over the phone, via Teams, and in person.
  • Ability to work extra hours on short notice as production requires.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $85,000.

Schedule

1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.
