Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

At Lightship, we are building a company to allow more people to connect with nature and each other. We are doing this by bringing the first purpose-built, aerodynamic, battery-electric travel trailer to market.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operations: Oversee the day-to-day functions of receiving, warehousing, and line-side delivery. Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Champion Safety: Lead by example to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct safety stand-ups, enforce forklift protocols, and ensure the team adheres to all safety guidelines.
• Maintain Inventory Integrity: Execute regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure digital records in the ERP align with the physical inventory.
• Drive Creative Continuous Improvement: Evaluate workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen) creatively adapted to fit our floor plan and production volume.
• Implement Scalable Solutions: Find the balance between chaos and bureaucracy. Implement processes that solve today’s problems without over-engineering them, ensuring our systems can grow as we do.

Qualifications

• Continuous Improvement Experience: A proven track record of driving process improvements. Share examples of how you identified an inefficiency and implemented a creative solution (e.g., 5S implementation, layout changes, waste reduction).
• Experience: 5+ years in warehouse or logistics operations, with specific experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Leadership: Proven experience supervising operational teams (Material Handlers, Shipping/Receiving clerks).
• Office Proficiency: Well-versed in standard office suites (Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite). Comfortable using spreadsheets for reporting, creating documents for SOPs, and managing email communication efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP). NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
