Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Lead and oversee the training and development of warehouse staff, ensuring performance goals and productivity standards are met.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to warehouse staff.
- Lead the implementation and enforcement of safety policies and procedures, conducting safety meetings and audits to maintain compliance.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory and order fulfillment processes.
- Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, accuracy, and inventory levels.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Oversee the Warehouse lead, providing direction and support to ensure client accounts are managed effectively and efficiently.
- Work with Billing Associates to ensure all inbound/outbound loads are invoiced, ensuring all services provided are accurately billed.
- Troubleshoot WMS issues, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
- Communicate with Customer Service Associates, providing ideas and solutions to resolve any issues they may have, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper operation of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling practices, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures that improve warehouse efficiency, ensure audit readiness, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
- Resolve routine equipment issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist in screening candidates for hire.
- Train new or recently transferred employees.
- Conduct disciplinary reprimands that are timely and constructive.
- Maintain a teamwork culture.
- Provide coverage of Distribution Customer Service in case of absences, ensuring continuity of operations and minimal disruption.
