About the role

A Ziegenfelder Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all inventory shipments are received, and supervising, training, and evaluating all Freezers Leads, Freezer technicians, and other employees assigned to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse operations, material movement, and personnel
  • Maintain adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving shipments of raw materials
  • Supervise warehousing of both raw and finished goods
  • Respond to significant changes in supply chain or demand and solve issues that may arise
  • Maintain correct inventory records utilizing computer software programs
  • Ensure all documentation, including SQF and carrier equipment reports, is accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager to ensure adequate staffing and supplies daily
  • Hold and Release/Quality inventory management, ensuring all policies and procedures are upheld regarding product on hold
  • Communicate and work towards department set goals and KPIs
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all departments of the facility
  • Maintain continuous supervisory coverage by supporting all three shifts and responding to operational needs, including on-call coverage as needed

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent level of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role required, preferably in a food/manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate electric powered forklifts and electric powered pallet jacks is a plus
  • Must be available to work day shift, afternoon shift, or night shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English

Physical Abilities

Possesses visual acuity to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks. May need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly. May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift.

Working Conditions

Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment. May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment.
