Warehouse Supervisor

About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Superintendent and is responsible for supervising and directing warehouse and logistical operations, including direct supervision of warehouse technicians and inventory control. The role oversees all aspects of inbound and outbound freight operations and manages the Pogo Mine stock inventory.
Responsibilities
- Act as custodian of inventory, verifying requests and proper use of materials.
- Provide leadership within the warehouse department, including:
- Establishing goals for the warehouse team.
- Instructing warehouse leads and technicians on daily tasks.
- Training warehouse employees.
- Conducting daily workplace inspections.
- Complete month-end closing for bulk issues and compile monthly materials management reports.
- Confirm inventory transactions in the general ledger match inventory valuation during month-end processes.
- Maintain accurate files, records, and inventory management systems.
- Maintain warehouse equipment.
- Provide requested data on warehouse stock issues and order information to various departments.
- Work with the purchasing department to resolve vendor and contractor issues.
- Collaborate with financial staff to resolve invoicing, credits, and fiscal issues.
- Notify loss control, freight carriers, and vendor supervisors of safety incidents in warehouse areas.
- Oversee safety programs and ensure overall safety in warehouse work areas.
- Prepare upgrade criteria for non-exempt job classifications and revisions for manager approval.
- Provide and monitor training opportunities fairly and without bias.
- Review employee training requests based on job performance, abilities, and interest.
- Document employees’ readiness for training and maintain training records.
- Monitor training registers and log formal training.
- Participate in reviews of appeals concerning training opportunities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Warehouse training in business, supply chain management, or logistics.
- Five to ten years of progressively responsible warehousing, inventory control, or relevant experience.
- Three years of supervisory or lead role experience.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Pass a background check and post-offer physical.

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Pronto, or similar).
- Proficiency with data entry and inventory software/systems.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- Awareness of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations.
- Preferred: Hazardous materials, DOT, and Load Planning/Securing training.
- Preferred: Applicable vehicle and forklift certifications.
- Preferred: Mining and industrial warehousing experience.

Schedule
15 days on, 13 days off rotating schedule, up to 12 hours per day or more at a remote campsite. Employees are required to stay on-site at the company-provided camp during the work rotation.
Work Environment
- Extreme and changing weather conditions (dust, mud, noise, varying light).
- Confined work areas with artificial lighting.
- Camp facilities include dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms.
- Dormitory rooms feature landline phones, Wi-Fi, and cable TV.
- Cell service available via Wi-Fi.
- Company-provided bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction, and Tok, Alaska.
