Warehouse Supervisor
Mission
JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team. American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of JELD-WEN, and one of the nation's largest suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist our Distribution Divisions in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain high quality standards
- Inspect incoming loads
- Maintain facility housekeeping standards
- Use a forklift to load trucks
- Attention to detail on all paperwork and documentation
- Consistently adhere to safe work practices
- Determine disposition of returned products from previous day’s deliveries. Record returns in return product recap report
- Schedule the daily duties of the shipping crew including the coordination of loading, associated paperwork and routing of products for daily deliveries
- Verify order paperwork to piece counts of daily loads and perform quality control checks of product before loading
- Transpose daily piece counts into productivity report database
- Research missing product to determine its whereabouts and/or work with Production Manager to determine if production was completed
- Verify that loads are complete and properly loaded for next day’s delivery
- Serve as liaison between the warehouse and the sales department to troubleshoot missing product and/or the status of product scheduled for delivery
- Serve as liaison between the warehouse and the accounting department to verify disposition of outstanding invoices and billing discrepancies
- Prepare warehouse for and conduct weekly inventory cycle counts
- Train new staff and existing staff as required
- Evaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as required

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and write English
- 3-5 years warehouse experience preferably in a supervisory capacity
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required
