About the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates daily warehousing activities, implements production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards, and ensures production goals are met within established time limits.
Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime (including weekends) may be required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise associates engaged in various warehouse functions; assign and prioritize daily tasks; determine priorities and work assignments; ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments, products, and materials.
- Maintain staffing levels to accomplish warehouse operations effectively; prepare work schedules to meet customer and company requirements; assign team member duties; provide necessary information for job performance; approve leave and overtime.
- Lead regular department meetings; ensure labor and expenses align with budget.
- Inspect operations for compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
- Measure, track, and report on quality and productivity of assigned department(s).
- Direct storage of products, inventory activities, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading, cycle counts, and related warehousing documentation.
- Manage the powered industrial truck fleet, including preventative maintenance and equipment requisitioning.
- Monitor paperwork flow for timely data entry.
- Support team member growth through feedback, training, and encouragement; ensure access to tools and resources.
- Maintain open communication with supervisor on matters of importance.
- Evaluate processes, recommend improvements, and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures; ensure team adherence.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity.
- Apply lean manufacturing tools and methodology to lead improvement activities.
- Adhere to company values, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, and regulations.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field, six months of related experience, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must obtain forklift license through Highline Warren Distribution.
- Proven warehouse supervisory experience.
- Warehouse and logistics experience preferred.
- Management/leadership experience or education preferred.
Physical Demands
- Remain in a stationary position while supervising or completing office tasks.
- Regularly move about a large warehouse facility to perform job duties.
- Ascend/descend stairs or ladders while supervising operations.
- Reach overhead for tasks such as unloading products or conducting inventory audits.
- Operate hand tools and equipment, including forklifts.
- Observe and interact with associates and equipment in the warehouse.
- Perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and exchange detailed information.
Work Environment
- Work in an office setting with average noise levels (conversation, office equipment).
- Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, temperature/humidity changes, dust, odors, fumes, and loud noise.
