Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and material management functions in support of construction and operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, staging, and distribution activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, and productivity.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Cook up material staging and delivery schedules to support field operations and project timelines.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, or shipping issues and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee organization and cleanliness of warehouse facilities, laydown yards, storage areas, and material locations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborate with procurement, project management, field leadership, and vendors regarding material availability and delivery schedules.
• Prepare reports related to inventory levels, material usage, warehouse activities, and operational performance.
• Serve as a key operational partner by anticipating material needs, resolving supply issues, and ensuring timely material availability for construction activities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling practices.
• Understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment preferred.
• Strong leadership and employee supervision skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing operational demands.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse software.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field operations, project teams, and vendors.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and warehouse safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or material management experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Construction, electrical contracting, industrial, or commercial industry experience strongly preferred.
