Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with the supervision and coordination of all aspects of warehouse operations.
• Effectively and efficiently handle customer service complaints and concerns.
• Train new team members in job duties.
• Comfort level working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
• Follow company guidelines and company operational policies.
• Recruit and interview new team members
• Attend and participate in annual Leadership & Development training sessions
• Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules
• Cook and prepare food products and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures and within budgeted guidelines while controlling cost
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirements
• Utilize and train team members on handheld scanners to perform all functions: pick, sort, pack, receive, stock, etc.
• Maintain positive customer relationships
• Reporting: Assist in compiling daily key indicators
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
• Warehouse Inventory Planning: Maintain inventory control through effective warehouse methods
• Aid Manager with quarterly counting and/or annual physical inventories using solo chain system reports inventory software in order to ensure inventory accuracy
• Warehouse Operations: Review the load sheet and verify the accuracy of the assembled load
• Aid Driver where needed with pre-departure load check
• Make recommendations to the Manager on operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
• Audit and 5s ready at all times
• Perform regular Gemba walks
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, some college with equivalent work experience, 2 year degree preferred
• 2-3 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• Must have and maintain forklift certification
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
• Must successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date
• Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Walking in/ around the warehouse with great frequency; many facilities are over a quarter mile in length
• Able to access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation)
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures [33-38 degrees], and in environments with exposure to loud machinery
