Warehouse Supervisor

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and issuing materials. Lead the team, manage inventory accuracy, enforce safety protocols, and serve as the strategic interface with maintenance, planning, and operations to ensure the warehouse supplies materials needed for site operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse staff, prioritizing workers’ safety
• Track and account for all incoming and outgoing material and their value
• Perform inventory counts and order supplies as needed
• Ensure processes meet End User (customer) requirements
• Maintain warehouse machinery, equipment servicing, and facility cleanliness
• Assist in hiring and training new warehouse staff
• Process and review requisitions for plant material and warehouse restocking
• Oversee daily activities and assign duties to warehouse staff
• Arrange, coordinate, and track all outbound freight traffic
• Interface with supervisors and managers to address plant department concerns
• Direct inspection and expediting activities; available 24/7 for plant emergencies
• Review data entry of new warehouse stock items and ensure process compliance
• Identify and manage obsolete stock disbursement
• Review invoices for plant material for entry into Maximo/Oracle payable system
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
• Interface with plant accounting and support monthly expense reporting
• Coordinate plant equipment rental programs
• Schedule periodic reviews with contract material providers to address performance and quality issues
• Supervise warehouse materials management (receiving, storage, disbursement, inventory analysis)
• Schedule and coordinate expanded work hours for outages and turnarounds
• Participate in planning and executing material/equipment acquisition for turnarounds and plant outages

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) highly desired
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Business, Accounting, or Technical Fields preferred (related technical experience may substitute)
• 3-5+ years of experience in warehouse, maintenance, or procurement environment
• 3+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Ability to motivate staff and manage team performance
• Foster a stakeholder-focused disposition within the team
• Knowledge of computerized inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle, Maximo)
• Proficiency with warehouse management tools (barcode scanners, label printers) and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with inventory stocking level evaluation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of ethical purchasing policies and procedures
• Ability to adjust work schedule to meet business needs
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Effective communicator and negotiator
• Exposure to work near potentially volatile and combustible materials/chemicals
• Eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided)
