Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in supporting warehouse and supply chain operations by overseeing a team of Warehouse Associates and ensuring the efficient flow of materials, inventory, and finished products throughout the facility. Reporting to the onsite Pharmacy Operations Leader, this position is responsible for managing logistics, inventory control, workforce planning, and operational performance while collaborating cross-functionally to achieve production, quality, safety, and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Warehouse Associates, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to achieve departmental goals and maintain a high-performing workforce.

  • Logistics & Distribution Coordination: Coordinate logistics activities to ensure the timely transportation, distribution, and delivery of finished products while maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Inventory & Supply Management: Oversee inventory control processes and supply management activities to maintain appropriate stock levels, minimize shortages, and support uninterrupted operations.

  • Warehouse Operations Oversight: Direct and monitor daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, inventory management, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accuracy and productivity.

  • Process Improvement & Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve packing efficiency, streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

  • Service Level & Performance Accountability: Drive performance against customer service level agreements (SLAs) and departmental scorecard metrics, holding team members accountable for operational results.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, quality, marketing, and other internal teams to align supply chain activities with organizational priorities and business objectives.

  • Workforce Planning & Scheduling: Manage staffing levels, schedules, workload distribution, and resource allocation to support facility goals related to production, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

  • Talent Development & Employee Engagement: Participate in hiring, promotions, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development initiatives to build a skilled and engaged workforce.

  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are properly trained on logistics processes, equipment operation, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Documentation & Record Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of supply chain activities, inventory transactions, and operational records to support compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Compliance Investigations & Issue Resolution: Conduct investigations related to compliance concerns, inventory discrepancies, mispacks, and other operational issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Proven experience in supply chain coordination, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related role, preferably within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, med-tech, or regulated industry environment.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and logistics best practices.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing warehouse or operations personnel.

  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, and performance management in a fast-paced operational setting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.

  • Proficiency with supply chain management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and related software tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
