Responsibilities

  • Coordinate product movement and placement based on the production schedule.
  • Process orders to pick or stage in advance.
  • Complete item transfers between warehouses and ensure stock rotation.
  • Minimize production downtime.
  • Keep employees organized, on task, and accountable to complete daily activities in a timely manner.
  • Follow through on projects as directed by the warehouse manager.
  • Discuss and develop reports, trends, and company goals with the warehouse manager.
  • Support production, inventory control, quality control as needed—assist with scheduling, questions, inventory issues, and general concerns.
  • Communicate directly with carriers to solve problems, plan ahead, and coordinate drop trailers.
  • Collaborate with logistics to facilitate the drop trailer program and ensure the drop trailer board is updated regularly.
  • Report potential issues (employee or operational) to the warehouse manager to collectively develop solutions.
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed.
  • Fill in when necessary: picking/unloading trailers, servicing a production line, checking drivers in/out, assisting with general warehouse activities.
  • Communicate necessary trailer movement with the yard driver in an organized fashion.
  • Ensure all outbound orders are tracked and recorded in the outbound shipping log.
  • Work necessary hours including overtime or weekends, and coordinate any necessary OT staffing.
  • Contribute to the writing and development of annual performance reviews.
  • Track forklift inspections and work with the forklift provider to ensure all preventive maintenance is performed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years in warehousing or logistics, preferably in a lead role.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Works is a plus.
  • Previous experience leading a group of 3 or more is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks (electric and manual), RF scanners, computers, and label software/hardware.

Pay

$30-$36/hour
