Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Ryder is hiring a Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Morris, Illinois, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Pay

Weekly hourly pay: $21.75 per hour.

Schedule

Sunday – Wednesday, 5:30 am – 4:00 pm (must be willing to work overtime daily).

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record.
• Works with minimal supervision, showing initiative and accuracy under pressure.
• Capable of lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 35 lb and standing for long periods.
• Committed to health and safety methods and flexible scheduling.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
