About the role

The Warehouse Specialist maintains key department experience and knowledge that require unique skills and training. This role involves specific areas of expertise within the facility such as receiving, production, inventory control, and administration. Responsibilities include assisting in employee training, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), supporting new process rollouts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train in all departments to perform multiple distribution-related functions as business needs require.
  • Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment and interact with leadership and work groups to share task-related information.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and promote a positive team spirit.
  • Monitor production, resolve problems by identifying barriers, and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Drive Lean culture and support continuous improvement initiatives within distribution processes.
  • Train new hires and retrain team associates, ensuring SOPs are rolled out and training is completed.
  • Communicate new processes and procedures effectively, including group and individual training.
  • Demonstrate commitment to company core values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using the English language.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Proficiency in operating a personal computer (PC).
  • Knowledge of power/mobile equipment; additional training or certification may be required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently.
  • Ability to push, pull, grasp, and perform fine manipulation of equipment throughout the workday.
  • Capable of walking on uneven surfaces, though infrequently.
  • Must be able to perform duties typically performed by the associates they lead.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed (e.g., starting early or staying late to complete work).
  • Strong job performance and behavior, demonstrated through teamwork, attendance, quality, and productivity.

Pay

$21.00/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential.

Schedule

Friday – Sunday, 4:00 am – 4:00 pm.
