Warehouse Specialist- Dubuque, IA
About the role
The Warehouse Specialist ensures customer orders are fulfilled by handling shipping and receiving of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company products, efficiently storing incoming materials, preparing production for delivery, and staging and loading product according to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Move product throughout the warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Safely utilize material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
- Conduct order fulfillment tasks (pulling product, building orders, stocking trucks, rotating inventory, etc.).
- Count and inspect product; ensure accurate reports.
- Help resolve order discrepancies.
- Minimize damaged products.
- Comply with all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
- Exhibit ethical conduct at all times.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
- Ability to follow all safety requirements and protocols.
- Good team-player with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
- Some light computer experience is helpful.
- CDL Class A certification and license highly preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs (moving equipment and tools provided to reduce strains and injury).
- Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing required.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work in a warehouse environment with unregulated temperatures dependent on outdoor conditions.
Schedule
Typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or until all orders are built for the next day’s deliveries), Monday through Friday. Some occasional weekend or off-shift work may be needed.
Pay
$20–25/hour.
