Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current forklift certification required; stand-up forklift preferred
- Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
- Minimum 1+ years of warehousing experience
- Oracle experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for the anticipated duration of the assignment (no sponsorship provided)
Responsibilities
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Picking and staging customer orders on the shipping dock
- Counting and cross-checking all orders staged for next-day delivery
- Replenishing warehouse picking locations
- Cleaning the warehouse and individual picking locations
- Working in a team-oriented environment to pick, prepare, and palletize finished goods for shipment, including overtime as needed
- Operating forklift or other equipment to move materials within the distribution center
- Completing daily vehicle inspection reports prior to operating equipment
- Properly charging vehicles after use
- Performing light maintenance duties (e.g., watering batteries)
- Following all company and job-specific procedures
- Picking and stacking product according to procedure and special instructions
- Cross-checking orders to ensure 100% accuracy
- Picking, checking, over-packing, consolidating, and processing parcel cases as necessary
- Following safety instructions to load/unload trailers according to procedure
- Verifying accuracy of shipments received and putting products into available locations
- Processing returns, inspecting returned cases, and completing paperwork for customer credit
- Using carrier systems and tools to ship products
- Ensuring warehouse documentation is sorted and ready for filing at the end of the day
- Auditing international shipping documents for completeness and accuracy
- Working independently and proactively
- Communicating clearly with management and department personnel on key issues
- Adhering to good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws
- Performing general housekeeping duties
- Participating in team initiatives (e.g., Safety, 5S, Lean)
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Travel requirements: less than 5% of the time
