Warehouse Specialist
ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Williston, ND.
About the role
This position will primarily handle loading and unloading tasks, operating equipment like pumps, mules, forklifts, and loading platforms. Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting to and following instructions from the Field Operations Manager
- Making proper hookups from storage tanks to trucks and ensuring correct chemical loading
- Maintaining safety areas and good housekeeping practices
- Loading and unloading trucks with drums, bulk totes, and packaged products
- Performing chemical sampling and related paperwork
- Conducting daily inspections on all equipment used
- Picking and staging orders for upcoming shipments
- Performing basic preventative maintenance duties
Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Handling products in various types of packages (bulk, drums, bulk totes, mini/micro-feed units)
- Operating customized chemical manufacturing equipment
- Maintaining and monitoring in-house mixed chemical bulk totes
- Ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
- Operating basic math skills and proficiency with personal computers and Windows software
- Proficiency with SAP
Requirements
Essential requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Experience in a similar chemical environment
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, hand tools, and welding equipment
- Understanding of chemical safety and spill prevention
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Windows software
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar chemical environment
- Experience with handling various types of packages
- Preventative maintenance duties and inventory management experience
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, and welding equipment
- Understanding of chemical safety and spill prevention
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency with SAP
