Warehouse Specialist (1061)

Key Responsibilities

• Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages on materials or merchandise.
• Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
• Store, stack, or palletize materials according to prescribed storage methods.
• Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
• Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage.
• Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
• Operate hand or power trucks, motor vehicles, and material handling equipment.
• Utilize a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification, and tracking of material.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description.
• At least two (2) years of warehouse experience, including inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material.
• Demonstrated experience operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in using a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system.
• Adequate experience performing the duties of the labor category as described in the Department of Labor functional description.
• Valid driver's license.
