About the role
Warehouse Specialist roles at Safran Cabin are structured across three levels, each with increasing responsibility in product movement, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Specialist I (Entry Level)
- Read part picklists and fulfill products from inventory locations
- Execute product issuance and moves in the ERP system
- Mark parts per specification
- Operate material handling equipment (forklift, dollies, manual and power pallet jacks)
- Receive packages, materials, and supplies; verify quantity and quality against shipping/packing slips
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Enter and update inventory levels in the system
- Prepare orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness for delivery
- Load and unload deliveries as needed
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing the warehouse
- Transport materials throughout the factory
- Wrap/unwrap pallets and create/label products per material handling requirements
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
Warehouse Specialist II
- Certify and teach operation of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies)
- Prioritize individual workload and delegate tasks to Warehouse Specialist I
- Package products per ATA 300 specifications
- Read part picklists and fulfill products from inventory locations
- Execute product issuance and moves in the ERP system
- Mark parts per specification
- Receive packages, materials, and supplies; verify product quantity and quality
- Ensure document record retention requirements are met to support product certification
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Oversee and maintain shelf-life material
- Ensure ERP system inventory accuracy
- Prepare and verify orders for completeness and accuracy
- Manage part shortages and exception lists through ERP and Excel
- Stock shelves and organize the warehouse
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform Part Capture and Control activities to support engineering changes
- Support and coach Warehouse Specialist I
- Resolve inventory and ERP system discrepancies
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
Warehouse Specialist III
- Prioritize, assign, and delegate tasks to warehouse specialists
- Certify and teach operation of material handling equipment
- Ensure products are packaged per ATA 300 specifications
- Run action reports to generate work orders for the warehouse team
- Oversee and coach Warehouse Specialists II and I
- Ensure proper product issuance and ERP system moves; resolve discrepancies
- Receive packages, materials, and supplies; verify quantity and quality
- Ensure document record retention requirements are met for product certification
- Oversee warehouse supply ordering and replenishment
- Manage dunnage and waste removal requirements
- Oversee and maintain shelf-life material
- Ensure ERP system inventory accuracy
- Troubleshoot and repair warehouse equipment (scanners, printers, etc.)
- Manage part shortages and exception lists through ERP and Excel
- Improve warehouse layout to increase operational efficiency
- Perform Part Capture and Control activities to support engineering changes
- Resolve inventory and ERP system discrepancies
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
