About the role
Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England’s largest one-stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems. We are seeking a team player to support warehouse operations, customer order fulfillment, and delivery activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service.
This position assists drivers by loading and unloading construction materials on and off trucks, helps with daily warehouse tasks, and collaborates with the team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and move incoming materials to appropriate storage or staging areas
- Sort and stock materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established procedures (e.g., size, type, product code)
- Pick, assemble, and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery
- Load and unload materials onto trucks, including manual handling when required
- Assist drivers with deliveries and related labor activities as needed
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety standards
- Perform shipping, receiving, and order picking functions to support daily operations
- Maintain accurate material identification through labeling and documentation
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and use of RF scanning devices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are properly stored
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior warehouse, distribution, or building materials experience
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (training may be provided)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable attendance and transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience
- Knowledge of building materials, including drywall/sheetrock handling
- Experience with warehouse management systems or RF scanning technology
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50–100 pounds on a regular basis
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, including a lift test and drug screening
Work Environment
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor warehouse settings and environments plus jobsites
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation
- Moderate to high noise levels consistent with warehouse operation
- Possible use of machinery, equipment, and vehicles

Pay
$20–$23 per hour, depending on experience
