Warehouse Shipping Full Time 2nd Shift

About the role

Join our Staples World Class Supply Chain Team and deliver essential products to our customers. As a warehouse associate, you may work in one of the following six areas: Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Warehouse Porter, Warehouse Replenishment, Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Warehouse Returns, or Shipping.

Responsibilities

Depending on the area, responsibilities may include operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse, general cleaning and basic maintenance duties, confirming accuracy of product, communicating effectively with internal and external contacts, manually unloading trucks and palletizing products, matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, and organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have an ability to be Material Handling Equipment Operator certified, keep your work area clean, and adopt our safety procedures quickly. You must also be able to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
• Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
• Must wear safety composite shoes
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time
• You must be at least 18 years old

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience and prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker.
