Warehouse Shipping Clerk

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Associate in Chambersburg, PA— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Pay and Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.50 shift premium when working third shift
• Schedules: Third Shift (Wednesday 12:00 am - 6:00 am, Thursday-Saturday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)
• Benefits: Includes all benefits offered at other Ryder Warehouse Distribution Facilities without the wait, paid training and support, medical, dental, vision, 401K, and high-valued stock at 15%. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years or more experience in SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to: Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors), multi-task, be highly organized, with excellent time management skills, work independently and as a member of a team, be detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices, and have excellent PC skills in MS Office (intermediate level) and SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge (intermediate level)
• Safety Sensitive Position. Non-Regulated Tech. Depending on location, may be required to operate equipment and be equipment certified

Skills

• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment, such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
• Ability to check truck drivers in and out
• Ability to assign dock doors for inbound/outbound activity according to warehouse direction and vendor assignments
• Ability to verify accuracy of all shipping/receiving documentation and partner with the inventory department to resolve any issues
• Ability to assist in appointment scheduling as needed
• Ability to update required reports on a timely basis
• Ability to communicate with customers and assist with customer needs
• Ability to coordinate inbound and outbound loads
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned
