Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate

First United is hiring Shipping Associates to support our growing operations and keep our products moving safely and on time. This role requires driving and making local deliveries from time to time based on business needs. Qualified candidates will have a clean MVR and the ability to drive in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Move, stack, and load overhead garage doors, hardware, and related products for shipment
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, racking, and hands-on loading techniques
• Ensure all products are correct, secure, and damage-free before shipment
• Follow safe lifting, loading, and operating procedures
• Keep the dock and warehouse clean, organized, and efficient
• Work as part of a team to meet daily shipping deadlines

Loading (All Levels)

• Pull and push product carts from the warehouse floor to the dock
• Hand-load verified doors and products into trailers and trucks
• Lift, stack, and pack doors, track, hardware, and openers
• Secure loads using foam, load bars, or poles
• Read and understand letters and numbers to verify product
• Learn proper loading techniques and safety standards

Spotting (Experienced Associates)

• Spot and position trailers scheduled for daily loading
• Direct team members on staging and loading by route
• Understand load size, quantity, and trailer capacity
• Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced
• Operate forklifts (certification required)
• Support quality, safety, and dock organization

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Forklift Certification (preferred for Level I)
• Clean MVR and ability to drive a company vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, squat, kneel, and reach throughout the shift

• Vision abilities including close, distance, and focus adjustment

Work Environment

• Warehouse and dock setting with moving mechanical parts
• Moderate noise levels
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles

Pay

Ranges from $18-$21 per hour, depending on experience.
