Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities during the assigned shift, including receiving, storage, picking, material handling, and internal distribution.
• Ensure timely and accurate material flow to support production schedules and internal demand.
• Lead and manage warehouse personnel, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with work instructions.
• Enforce safety rules, housekeeping standards, and internal logistics procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts, shift handovers, and discrepancy resolution.
• Ensure proper use and handling of warehouse equipment and material handling tools.
• Communicate shift priorities, issues, and performance results to the Warehouse Manager or Materials Manager.
• Identify and escalate operational issues such as material shortages, delays, or system discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse efficiency, layout, and material flow.
• Accurately record system transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Participate in training, onboarding, and development of warehouse team members.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or internal logistics.
• Prior experience supervising or leading teams in an operational environment.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, and material flow.
• Experience using ERP or WMS systems (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, or weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Lean logistics or continuous improvement principles.
• Forklift or material handling equipment certification.
• Experience working in multi-shift operations.
