Warehouse Shift Lead

About the role

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) has immediate full-time, permanent openings for a Warehouse Shift Lead to join our Cleaning/Janitorial team. KBS is the largest private provider of facility services in North America, with more than 180 million square meters of space daily. We help industry leaders across a wide range of key sectors—including retail, industrial and logistics, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and more—maintain clean, efficient, and welcoming spaces that support their operations.

Schedule

• Days and nights vary, including weekends
• Available shifts: 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Pay

• Starting pay: $20.30 per hour
• Progressive pay increases: $0.50 raise after the first 90 days, and an additional $0.30 raise after completing 180 days (available in some locations; check if available to you)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in a complex, task-oriented cleaning operations environment
• Provide direct support to the Maintenance Operations Center Team and KBS Field Operations Team by responding efficiently, promptly, and accurately to all escalations
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, break rooms, and other work areas as needed
• Follow the cleaning supervisor task process flowchart
• Familiar with call support, working directly or splitting shifts between the team, and leading the shift to successfully cover daily operations schedules
• Provide feedback on ongoing activities and commit to implementing timely escalation reporting procedures to the KBS management team

Requirements

• Cleaning operations and distribution center environment experience preferred
• 1+ years in a leadership/supervisory position
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions
• Positive, friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude that can motivate team members and support client requests in an orderly and timely manner
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical safe handling sheets/documents (generally in English; may have them in Spanish when state law requires)
• Must successfully pass KBS background check and drug test
