About the role

Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States. Providing over 37,000 deliveries a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the QCD fleet averages more than 40 million miles driven per year. QCD associates also help run a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift)
  • Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
  • Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
  • Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
  • Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately
  • Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products

Qualifications

  • Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred
  • Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation (Selector/Picker specific)
  • Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
  • Use a voice-directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders (Selector/Picker specific)

Schedule

Shift start time: 4:00 am. Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer: –5 °F to 38 °F). Primarily a 5‑day work week. Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lb and standing/walking for extended periods.

Pay

$21.63 per hour. Weekly pay (every Friday).
