Warehouse Scale Operator
About the role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in making sure our customers receive their orders accurately, on time, and with the level of care they expect from us. You’ll be the person who:
- keeps our shipping process running smoothly
- operates our computerized scale and shipping systems
- selects the most cost-effective carriers
- ensures every incoming and outgoing shipment is handled with precision

What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis
- operate the computerized scale and shipping system
- process and coordinate shipments so our customers receive their orders in a timely fashion
- select the most cost-effective and timely shipping methods for customer orders
- process all incoming receivables
Requirements
Education / Certifications Required: Must meet all Company and federal (OSHA) requirements for forklift operator certification
Preferred ability to recognize colors and materials
Must have strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
Good working knowledge of PC and related software
Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting
- Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift
- Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs
- Standing for 8 hours a day or longer
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above moderate
- Ability to work in an environment with repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, and elbows
- Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions
