WAREHOUSE SANITATION SUPPORT

Hours & Schedule

10am - 6pm, Monday-Friday (occasionally Saturdays)

Position Summary

This position splits responsibilities between Warehouse and Sanitation duties. Support the warehouse function with inventory responsibilities and shipping/receiving activities. Perform sanitation duties as trained within the Plant Master Sanitation Schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately ship/receive goods and/or products & inspect and notify management immediately if you suspect sabotage, mis-labeling or any other unusual occurrence
• Use plant equipment to perform inventory control functions on a timely basis
• Operate forklifts in a safe manner
• Load and unload all trucks
• Assist in the performance of sanitation duties as scheduled
• Maintain and document all required information for the Warehouse and Maintenance functions as trained

Key Activities

• Use handheld electronic scanning devices to perform inventory control functions
• Complete all required plan records for audit purposes
• Load or unload trucks
• Verify shipping document accuracy and follow plant shipping procedures
• Perform sanitation duties throughout the plant as required
• Place orders as required to maintain required inventory levels
• Document trailer inspections
• Conduct cycle/physical counts per required schedule
• Maintain all required documentation for the activities assigned

Required Experience & Skills

• Ability to operate various style forklifts
• Basic math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization skills on time utilization
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision
• Basic sanitation understanding

Physical Abilities Needed

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to reach, climb, bend, kneel, squat, and twist
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperature ranges

Work Environment

This role is performed in a food warehouse environment and requires strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including use of required PPE. Employees may work in areas with variable temperatures and machinery noise. The role requires standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and regularly lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance).
