Warehouse Sanitation

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver position focused on sanitation and facility maintenance in a food-product distribution center.

About the role

Join Ryder’s Cedar Rapids team as a Full-Time Warehouse Sanitation Associate. Work in a state-of-the-art, safety-first supply-chain environment handling food products with sit-down forklifts and other modern equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and office areas per the sanitation schedule.
• Clean exterior areas of the building, including windows, walkways, and trash containers/receptacles per the sanitation schedule.
• Sweep and scrub warehouse floors and office areas per the sanitation schedule.
• Wipe down racks, guard rails, and walls in the warehouse and office areas per the sanitation schedule.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including overtime when needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tour-ready facility.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with light maintenance activities such as painting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Depending on location, may be required to be equipment certified.
• Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and self-driven to excel.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Pay

Hourly pay of $16.50 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.
