Ryder is hiring a full-time Nail Maintenance Associate to ensure excellent craftsmanship at our manufacturing facility in Lakewood, WA.
About the role
Work with state-of-the-art equipment in a safe warehouse environment handling pallets and using tools such as hammers, prybars, nail guns, grinders, and saws. This role supports distribution across the US in a manufacturing, warehouse, or skilled labor capacity.
Pay
$18.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years or more in carpentry or a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to comprehend basic math
- Ability to operate power tools safely
- Must be able to follow repair processes
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs using proper techniques
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
- Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements

Responsibilities
- Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety guidelines
- Manually lift 75 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table
- Complete minor repairs such as cutting loose nails or securing loose components
- Operate a hammer, grinder, saw, and a 25 lb nail gun to remove existing nails and assemble components
- Ensure pallets meet and pass CHEP’s quality control audit
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Wear all required safety equipment while repairing pallets
- Perform other duties as assigned
