Warehouse Receiving/Distribution Clerk

About the role

Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 60‑year‑old gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX, serving industrial, petrochemical, and OEM markets. The company provides standard and custom gaskets, related items, and proprietary products such as SEALON®. The position is in‑person, reporting to the Purchasing Manager, with operating hours of Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Receive all items from vendors upon delivery and verify count, dimensions, weight rating, drawings, etc.
• Match purchase orders (PO) to vendor packing lists and tag all material for orders and stock.
• Maintain current paperwork and file it appropriately throughout the day.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any PO issues.
• Enter PO’s accurately into the ERP system and ensure daily receipt.
• Update notes in the ERP system as items arrive.
• Put away stock items, pull orders, and stage items in the ERP system.
• Issue materials to work centers and record issuance in the ERP system.
• Assist with cycle counts.
• Fill in for other shop areas as needed.
• Operate forklift and order picker.
• Keep the work area safe and clean.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, and/or inventory (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of distribution experience in pulling orders, staging items, issuing materials, and/or cycle counting.
• Previous experience handling high‑volume inbound and outbound distributions (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
• Punctuality and ability to work each scheduled day.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Self‑starter with ability to learn systems quickly.
• Focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects up to 70 lb throughout a normal workday.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Moderate computer proficiency.
