About the Role

To fulfill the daily task of ensuring all inbound freight is unloaded, properly inspected, verified, cataloged, and put away while helping to maintain a clean, safe, and harmonious work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review packing slip(s) from inbound shipments, verifying that the parts and quantities received are correct according to the packing list.
• Physically open cartons, verify the product, and inspect for concealed damages.
• Access Purchase Order information via a handheld computer/scanning device (data collector) to verify the goods received match the order.
• Use the data collector to "receive" the goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• May be required to temporarily backfill in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Work standing on your feet for 8 hours or more daily.
• Ability to lift at least 60 pounds.
• Ability to read, identify, and comprehend alphanumeric part numbers up to 30 characters long.
• Clear communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Previous experience using handheld data collectors or WMS is a plus.
